Today
on 3rd March 2014 (Monday) Andheri Head Post Office, Mumbai 400 053
has been migrated into Core Banking. INFOSYS Software “FINACLE” has been used
for the Core Banking in Departmental Post Offices all over India. Core Banking
automates all the routine activities and the transactions in any migrated Core
Banking Post Office, irrespective of Post Offices where the account is opened.
An added feature of the Core Banking is ATM, Mobile Internet Banking etc.
As
of now 68 Post Offices with 60 lakh SB Accounts are migrated into Core Banking
all over India. Today total 3 Post Offices has been migrated into Core Banking
in Maharashtra Circle viz. Andheri Head Post Office, Sangli Head Office and
Khamgaon Head Office. In Andheri HO, Shri P K Bisoi, Chief Postmaster General,
Maharashtra Circle dedicated the office to the member of public after it is go
live in Core Banking by cutting ribbon and lighting of lamp. In Andheri Head
Post Office total 66466 live accounts with balance of Rs. 309 crores has been
migrated into FINACLE.
Shri
P K Bisoi, Chief Postmaster General, Maharashtra Circle congratulated staff of
Andheri Head Office and North Division for taking efforts for the migration
work and also informed the ATM will soon be functioned at Andheri HO. Shri
Harish Agrawal, Postmaster General, Mumbai Region, Ms Kaiya Arora, Sr. Supdt.
of Post Offices, Mumbai City North Division, Ms. Rekha Rizvi, Sr. Supdt. of
Mumbai City North East Division were present for the function.
Ms
Kaiya Arora, Sr. Supdt. of Post Offices, Mumbai City North Division welcomed
Chief Guest and other dignitaries for attending the function. Shri Harish
Agrawal, Postmaster General, Mumbai Region also delivered his speech on behalf
of Mumbai Region. Ms Sujata Singh, Asstt. Supdt. North Division gave vote of
thanks.
