Directorate vide memo No. 137-8/2009-SPB-II dated 7th March, 2011 issued instructions / orders in connection with pattern and syllabus for Limited Departmental Competitive Examination to fill up the vacancies in the grade of Postmaster Grade-I.
- There will be two papers. Each paper will carry 200 marks. Duration will be 90 minutes for each paper.
- There will be 100 questions of Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) in each paper.
- Qualifying marks --- 40% marks in each paper subject to an overall average of 45% for general category and 33% marks in each paper subject to an overall average of 38% for SC/ST.
- Syllabus --Paper -I : Customer Service and Grievances, Postal Operations & for Paper-II : Knowledge of products and services of Department of Posts, Marketing, General Awareness, Current Affairs, General principles of technology, Basic technology requirement and connectivity of computers.
