Merger of RSD Mumbai with RSD Nashik.


Directorate memo No. 25-19/2010-PE-I dated 28th January, 2011 is reproduced below:

Subject : Merger of Regional Stamp Depot at Mumbai with Regional Stamp Depot at Nashik in Maharashtra Circle.
          Competent Authrity has accorded approval for the merger of Regional Stamp Depot (RSD) at Mumbai with Regional Stamp Depot (RSD) at Nashik in Maharashtra Circle. Hereafter, one Circle Stamp Depot (CSD) located at Nashik will take care of all supplies of stamps and stationery for the entire Maharashtra Circle.

          Competent Authority has also conveyed its approval for the redeployment of one surplus post of ASP (Group B) from RSD Mumbai to CSD Nashik and redeployment of three other surplus Group B posts i.e. Superintendent, AAO and IP from RSD Mumbai to needy offices.

          After merger of RSD Mumbai with RSD Nashik, CSD nashik will procure stamps, stationery, and cash certificates from Indian Security Press (ISP) Nashik and IPOs and BD stationery from Security Printing Press , Hyderabad and supply stamps, stationery, cash certificates, IPOs and BD stationery to allthe61 Head Post offices of Maharashtra Circle and Philately Stamps to the 68 Philately Bureaux in the contry. 

          CPMG, Maharashtra Circle will address the ISP Nashik and Security Printing Press Hyderabad to stop further supplied of stamps, cash certificates, IPOs and other postal stationery to RSD Mumbai. CPMG will also ensure that there is no shortage of stamps/postal stationery in the Maharashtra Circle. Necessary mail arrangement may also be notified for dispatch of special bags from CSD Nashik to all61 Head Post Offices in Maharashtra Circle for smooth transmission of stamps and postal stationery. 

          CPMG, Maharashtra Circle will redeploy the surplus posts of Group 'C' and Multi Tasking Staff from RSD Mumbai to the needy offices within his powers in consultations with Circle IFA.
