This Association is submitting the details of Region wise, Post wise vacancies in IP cadre in the Circle, which has alarmingly reached to 81 against the sanctioned strength of 169 i.e. 47.92% (Appended as Annexure A). Alternatively, duties and responsibilities of vacant posts are reluctantly required to be looked after by other incumbents in that unit in addition to their own duties.


You will appreciate this Association’s view that vacancies in this cadre not only weaken administration at respective level but policies of Department are also not effectively implemented, which further directly makes an impact on the overall productivity of the Department. Administration cannot allow this position to sustain for long without giving thought of applying remedial measures.

This Association requests support from Administration side on the following:-

This issue may be discussed in the ensuing CMC meeting and Divisional Heads Conference in order to arrive at some concrete decision for suggesting solutions at Local Level/Regional Level / Circle Level.

Appeal may be made at Circle Level and also at Regional Level to all IPs aspirant candidates of PA cadre to officiate in vacant IP posts. Division wise list of aspirant candidates (who appeared in the IPOs Examination held on 8/8/2008 and 4/1/2010) is appended as Annexure B and C to this letter.

Vacancies earmarked for Direct Recruitment through SSC for IPs may be filled up through Departmental Examination as a onetime measure. Circle Office may take up the matter with Directorate, as Direct Recruitment vacancies in IP Cadre in our circle have not been filled up since 2004.

We hope that your honour will discuss the above mentioned issues in the CMC Meeting as well as in Divisional Heads Conference and expect that same are resolved with favourable results.
